We are also finalising our entrants list for the Dublin Championships on the 31st of October in Santry and the 14th November in Marley Park. Anyone who has not put their name forward should do so. If you can, why not come and support the athletes in Santry on the halloween weekend. If they do well in this competition they qualify to go the the All-Ireland competition in Derry in December.

Our club secretary is retiring and we would like to thank Valerie for all her help to date. The role that Valerie did as club secretary is a very important one and we need to fill her shoes. If there is someone who can give over some backoffice time to this role we would like to hear from you. As most of the role is now done via email and the internet, familiarity with computers would be good, but not crucial.

At all levels of the club we welcome the support and help that we receive from parents, whether at competitions, training or in the back office. We are always looking for new people to get involved so please come forward and volunteer. We will provide you with the training that will enable you to do a good job and have fun

With the dark evenings upon us we have organised floodlighting of the back field of the school which serves our older athletes well. We will also be moving into the school hall with the Little Athletics group. In both cases we are very grateful to Lusk National School for the use of both facilities and it is important that we respect these facilities. We have a very popular Little Athletics section and we will do our best to continue to accomadate the numbers involved.

The picture attached is the Under 14 boys race that was held in Newbridge House, Donabate recently. If anyone else has photos of the various races that they would like to share, please send them on and we will put them onto the website.

On behalf of the committee, Seamus.

As we come to the end of the school year we are also going to take a short summer break for Little Athletics so that the mentors, and mammies and daddies can take a rest for a couple of weeks. Thanks to all who have made this such a success over the last year and see you all again in a few weeks time.
